Latinos in London Entertainment continue their nights full of latin american shows and amazing people and arts. Now is time to support Bolivian artists in London and their talent like our next guests: PHAXSI COCA + LA CONTRABANDA with a night full of joy and traditional latin American music and culture all night long plus special guests VICKI CESPEDES (Bahareque, Warmi) and fashion exhibition by CHOLITA LONDON bringing the best of the Bolivian customs to the night. On the decks LATINOS IN LONDON DJ'S bringing the best latin music and global beats.

Each 12 October latin america commemorates the “Day of Indigenous Resistance” as a means to recognize the Americas’ fight for self-determination, unity and cultural and human diversity. This day also serves to vindicate the indigenous peoples of the American continent and as well as the contributions made by the African, Asian and European culture and peoples. This commemoration celebrates the spirit of dialogue, peace and justice between civilizations through the music, recognizing that music can be a powerful tool for social change.


* PHAXSI COCA is a well known musician from Bolivia based in London part of the well known band Lokandes, she plays traditional instruments from the Andes like flutes, quenas and pan pipes as main instruments including also guitar, charango and drums. In her long career Jeanette Rojas (Phaxsi Coca) has been playing with bands from Bolivia to Japan and now based in London, UK she is one of the most important andean musicians who promote Bolivian and latin american music as part of different projects in her long musical journey.

* On the otherside one of the highlights this year brought by Victor Alarcon’s LA CONTRABANDA (Bolivia, Argentina & Brazil) bringing a twist to the night with more latin American music fused with traditional andean instruments by Franklin Pabon on flutes & Juan Gerber on Charango (Bolivia) with Fab Azevedo from Brasil and a bass player from Argentina ready to heat the dance floor with some latin standards, sanjuanitos, zayas, cumbias, son, bossa nova and more traditional rhythms and preparing some special bolivian tunes for the night.

* Bolivian fashion exhibition by CHOLITA LONDON wearing her traditional dress and hat for those interested to know more about Bolivian culture and fashion and upcoming workshops for children interested in learn more about Andean traditions and history. The magnificent attire is an expression not only of the girls’ cultural heritage, but their plight for recognition among urban society and easily identified by their distinctive, elegant outfits.
