LOKANDES
An special appereance for an acoustic session by some members of this great band plus special guests! Having supported the likes of legendary South American acts Kjarkas (Bolivia) and Susana Baca (Peru) and following a recent collaboration with Juana Fe's Juan Ayala and CHICO TRUJILLO(Chile) Lokandes continue to make their mark as one of the truly exceptional live acts emerging from the Latin community in London. Taking the melodies and energy of Andean music and mixing it with rumba, reggae, ska, cumbia, funk and afro-Latin rhythms. The band unites musicians and instruments from Latin America mixed with world musicians and sets their highly original music, alongside socially conscious lyrics and a super tight rhythm section bringing awareness to Latin-American and worlwide cultures.

Lokandes have played Kendal Callling, Secret Garden Party, London Mela, London Green Fair, Glastonbury , Vamos Festival, London Olympics 2012, BBC Mundo, Rhythmtree Festival, Bestival, Royal Festival Hall, Standon Calling, Barbican Dance Nations & Nottingham Contemporary Gallery, among others music venues and festivals in the UK.
