Warmi Andean Band interview 21/12/2011

Warmi (Woman in the Native languages from the Andes Quechua and Aymara) is a new band integrated by female musicians. Featuring Andean/Latin American music plus original compositions. 

Warmi was born as a 5 piece band in October 2011, with their debut gig at The Latin Corner, London, during an event dedicated to the Cultural Resistance of Indigenous people from the Abya Yala (America in their Native Language). With Phaxsi Coca and Vicki Cespedes, from Bolivia, on Kena and Panpipes; Paloma Palomino, from Peru, on Charango, Guitar and Vocals; Corina Piatti, from Argentina, on Vocals and Guitar and Renu, who has family roots in India, from London, on Percussion.
