Colombian Independence Day Festival 2010

Colombianamente Colombian Independence Day Festival 2010 showcased the arts and culture from Colombia to London, with the objective of bringing and fusing the different Colombian communities living in the city, explore our contemporary identity and introduce a positive outlook of Colombia to the world.

The group aims to welcome Londoners to explore the richness and variety of our culture and play a part towards finishing with the stereo-typical representation of Colombia. Colombianamente showcase will take place as a free festival in the heart of our capital city, along the beautiful South bank of the River Thames.

This 2010 included Fonseca, Los gaiteros de San Jacinto, Chocquibtwon amongst others. As part of the Coin Street Festival that plays a vital role in introducing new audiences to the arts; visitors can celebrate London's diversity and cultural contributions from around the world. Any afternoon during the summer approximately 30,000 people walk past the festival area, this year the vibrant colours of Colombia's rich culture will capture the South bank of London.
